An Artistic Adventure: CTMH Convention Day 3

New colors!  We have five beautiful new colors.  This first photo shows a couple of projects in the works.   I took a picture so you could see three of our new colors:  Thistle, Flaxen and Glacier.   And there are two more:  Canary (a nice bright yellow) and Pixie, a soft pink.  This picture shows some new printed papers from the Seaside papers, and several new stamps, including a really cute new alphabet.

Here's an album done if our three ring binder made with the new Wanderful travel themed paper.  Love this album!

And here's a card we made in a Creative session.   This card used the Snowhaven paper.   One of the colors in Snowhaven is the new Glacier.  Paired with Black, White Daisy, Cranberry and Whisper, it's a stunning combination.

An Artistic Adventure: CTMH Convention Day 2

Just got back to Paradise Pier from the awards dinner that topped off another incredibly fun day of convention!  Here's Kristine, Brian and Monica in their Awards Gala finery!

And here's a picture of the stamp set designed just for Convention 2014.   They were waiting at our places when we came in tonight -- CTMH treats us so well!

Here's the inside of a baby card - I love this idea - so darling!

Here's a picture of one of our new shadow boxes - it's definitely on MY shopping list!

Last sneak peek for tonight:  A few new products:   A 5x7 album and a cupcake holder!   This could hold all kinds of cute little gifts...

An Artistic Adventure: CTMH Convention 2014 Day 1

Wow!   What an awesome first day of Convention 2014!   Here's a picture of an adorable card made with our new Cricut Cartridge:  Artfully Sent!   Our new Cricut Collection has 700 images, and makes 400 (yes, 400!) card projects, including 50 pop-up cards like this one!

Here's the inside of this cupcake pop-up card.  Pretty doggone cute, huh?

This picture is taken from the awesome video the CTMH team put together showing Kristine and Monica with the same card.  Their videos are hilarious!

Here's another card, one of 50 overlay cards:

In all, Artfully Sent makes 5 styles of cards:  the pop-ups, build-a-scene cards, sentiment cards, sleve cards and pocket cards.  It also has an alphabet and envelopes!    I'll have more ocmplete information for you later.  Provocraft is completing Artfully Sent and it will be available in September!

More tomorrow....

June Scrapbook Club: It's a Jubilee!

Here are our three layouts for June with Jubilee.  These papers are so bright and summery - I'm in love!   This first layout focuses on the blue and green with a hint of purple paper.   Check out the cute rooster journaling box from the Jubilee Complements.   The Summertime title is also from the Complements (chipboard).    I also used the Jubilee Assortment (the two round "buttons" and our Triangle Durable Studs.   The adorable pennants at the top are also from the Complements.

For this layout I wanted that rustic Americana look, so I used the red and white gingham paper and the blue print, and also the reverse side of the gingham (the red doily paper), then added a splash of yellow with that print.   Love our paper that has a different print on each side.   I again used the Complements, the Triangle Durables, the Assortment, and also our Jute Ribbon.

Here's a close-up of the Red Shimmer Trim, Triangle Studs and one of the Jubilee Complements pieces.   The Tag from the Complements has two strands of the Jute Ribbon looped through the top of it.

This third layout is the alternate layout from the Workshop on the Go.   I added the Red Shimmer Trim to it.   Living the Good Life is stamped on the left page.  I also added more Complements, a couple of badge buttons from the Assortment and more Triangle Studs.

May Scrapbook Club: Timberline

I'm so glad we're getting to May because May is Timberline month at Create with Karen, and I love these papers!   Love the colors, theme and patterns.   Here are our three layouts for May Club.  Contact me if you'd like to join us.   We're meeting May 9th.

This first layout, Explore Your World, is the Workshop on the Go Layout.  You can see the wooden Timberline Assortment shapes - love 'em!
This layout, The Great Outdoors, (inspired by Susan Gardner Williams) adds a pop of color with the lagoon photo mats.   We used the stickease and Neutral Metallic Baker's Twine, as well as more of the Assortment.
This third layout, Daring Adventure, uses the leathering technique for the goldrush base pages.  I LOVE the woodgrain paper!  I loved adding the Durable Triangle studs to the layouts - they fit the paper's style perfectly.  All three layouts have Irrisistible Frames added - a fun touch of color and texture.

Studio J Digital Layouts

I've been having fun on Studio J creating layouts.   For some I used the Express Collections, where you just drop in photos, change the title and add journaling (if you wish) and ten minutes later you're done!   For others I picked a paper pack, picked a layout and went from there.

This one is a pet "paper" that's only available in digital.
Here's one of a Disneyland trip nine years ago that will go in Megan's scrapbook.  Giggles & Grins is an old paper pack back from when I first became a consultant - so fun to use it again!
This is from Disneyworld Epcot Center from last summer.  Vintage Travel "papers".
Epcot again - with Passages papers.
Here's an Express Collection layout - took ten minutes at most - gotta love that!  One fun feature of digital layouts is being able to try photos in a layout, then decide that maybe you want that other photo to be the 8x10, instead of the first photo.   Just click and drag, and your new choice is now the 8x10!   Or, you can take the same shot and zoom in on a different part of the photo like in the pictures below.   The square photo (the one of Megan smiling!) was a head-down-to-her-feet photo, but this layout just shows the top part.   I took the same photo and zoomed in on her bag for the small photo on the left side - a high school girl's version of a backpack - fun!
This was made with Magic Moments, and has random papers of fun memories from 2013, but "events" that didn't have enough photos for a whole layout.
Same idea here for 2012, with Buzz and Bumble papers.
Head to my website and create an account:  you can explore all you want, upload pictures and create layouts just to try it out.  It's free to play!  A 2 page 12x12 layout on 100 year archival safe paper costs $6.95.  Warning:  Studio J can become addictive!
